 Create your own unique clay pieces! In this course, you’ll learn the basics of handbuilding and design your own shapes and creations. Perfect for yourself or as a special gift! The course is suitable for beginners.

Hand-Building: Jewelry Dish

In this creative hand-building pottery workshop, you will learn how to shape beautiful jewelry dishes from clay with your own hands. Under expert guidance, you will model and decorate unique dishes – perfect for storing rings, watches, earrings, or small treasures. This workshop is suitable for beginners.

You will receive an overview of various hand-building techniques such as thumb pressure, bead and plate techniques as well as an introduction to tools and materials. 

The clay is kneaded to remove air bubbles, portioned and prepared for the desired workpiece.

You create your own piece by shaping the clay and joining individual parts with slip. You can create bowls, mugs, figures or other creative objects.

The surfaces are smoothed, decorative patterns are added and final adjustments are made. (e.g. patterns, handles, reliefs)

The painted pieces are checked for cleanliness, edges are cleaned and prepared for the glazing and firing process. Finally, the workstations are tidied up and the firing process is explained.

The pieces are prepared for drying. We also explain the next steps, such as firing and glazing, before the pieces can be collected.

Now your work is fired. After about 2-3 weeks, your ceramic piece will be ready for collection. We will inform you by email or WhatsApp as soon as it is ready. Your new favorite pieces are dishwasher-safe, but not microwave-safe.
